Program Details & Eligibility

The Pathology observership program is primarily housed at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. The program is offered in four-week blocks and is intended for post-graduate candidates who have completed medical school. Our observership opportunities are based on the academic year (July - June) and we typically accept one observer for each of the following months: August, September, October, November, January, February, March, April and May.

Application Process & Timeline

Applications for each academic year (July–June) are due by April 1 of the year in which the program begins. For example, applications for July 2026–June 2027 were due April 1, 2026. Please note that the application window for this academic year is now closed.
